Mark, I'd like to help you but first I need to understand: are you speaking of photos OTHER than the ones I am now looking at, of the '49 coupe, which were uploaded on October 14? These are the photos that now appear under your name in the Member Galleries.
As to the photos that were deleted, can you tell me when you uploaded them and approximately how many were uploaded? Then I can get to our administrator with this information.0 -
They deleted all the pictures of the 308 engine not installed in the car. I had a total of 22 pictures uploaded, they deleted 12 of them.
All pictures of the engine in the process of being rebuilt and uninstalled from the car.
All were uploaded at the same time and were of the same file format, made from the same camera, and stored in the same location on my computer.
I suppose I'm looking for an explanation. I didn't have any T&A hid anywhere either.
Deleted 12 pictures. If they need a copy of the e-mail I was sent for every picture deleted, I can send them. But they are exactly like the one in the opening post, with a filename that denotes the file deleted.

Mark, I'll do what I can to look into it. I'm sorry this happened, and a bit mystified why they'd delete 12 and leave 10. I will note, however, that when I tried to look at some of the photos at the site yesterday (including the Administrator's own) I got error messages. So I suspect "something's up' with the computer, and not that it's anything personal!0

I got 4 notices via email that the photos I'd posted had been "moved..."0

Thanks Jon, I appreciate your efforts in this matter. I had a bad feeling something was going wrong. I had tried to upload some other "in process" photos of transmissions etc. and kept getting error messages.
Dang, and I had hoped to post all my Hudson pictures here - and not on the hot rod site anymore. Classicar would allow me to post them both here and there, the other site won't.
Oh well.
Thanks,

Not meaning to take advantage of a bad situation...but had you considered uploading your photos to the Hudson Photo Site?0

Hello Folks,
About the Photo Gallery... I guess I was a bit premature in making the invitation to post photos. We have managed to distroy the scource code about half a dozen times since I made the invite. I am very sorry for the time you all spent loading photos.
It looks like we have a stable system now...but I wanted to wait a few days to make sure the problems have all been ironed out. Our staff is testing it now.
Again, I am sorry for problems...software problems are a lot like having your oil pump fail. Everying appears fine, right up to the the funny sound and the engine seizing up.0 -
What's the webpage for the "official" site to post pictures?0

On a side note: Please never take our actions as a personal affront to you. We screw up from time to time (more so sometimes) and some people look at the removal or loss of data as an attack on them personally. Take my word for it, we deal out misery evenly around here, we don’t play favorites. Last, you might think this site is run by a bunch of computer geeks and whiz kids…. In reality its run by a handful of old grease handed fudds like myself, along with great people like Jon Battle, MikeKY55, and club support. And, for your support we are very grateful. Thank you all!!!!0
