2. Powerdome was the designation for the shape of the combustion chamber

Thank you. I was thinking it was the part number just like the tag on the generator. One family member seems to recall the head being replaced after about one year of driving.
I figured the 500, even though mine is 50A.
So one more question....Is the PowerDome akin to Hemi?0 -
Powerdome is not akin to a Hemi. Hudson combustion chambers are not hemisperical.0

Powerdome is akin to a marketing ploy. It sounds good in type. That is about the only relationship is has to the actual geometry of the combustion chamber. Since its a flathead the chamber is pretty shallow. But Powerdome sounds much better than shallow flathead.0
