51 commodore 8 subframe

i am looking for a subframe for my 51 . i live in Liberal,ks and hope someone close has one i can get . i been looking mine over good and has been in a front end collision and the sub has been poorly hammered back and bad welding where it broke . Kim told me to ask around and see if possibly one exists in the Wichita area .

    Hey all ,

    I'm not trying to do Mike's talking for him, but he also needs a radiator and water pump for the 254 in his 51. It sounds like he has a good foundation to work with,except for the subframe. It's 34k original car and Mike has gone through a lenghty flushing proceedure before fireing it up. I'm throwing my 20 cents worth in, cause I told him Kansas Hudson folk would help him bring it back to life. I've been encouraging him to work with what he has,see how he likes the dependability, and smooth performanance of the 254 before ging the sbc and chebby subframe. Lets help Mike save a treasure, ok?

    There is a NOS water pump on EBAY, or try Dave Kostansek. I do not have his number close by, check the roster or a search on this forum. I think the commodre 8 and the Hornet radiator are the same.

    i have located a radiator and am watching this waterpump on ebay , thanks for the help so far , still need a decent subframe off of a parts car.

    Just wondering outloud...maybe you could buy a complete one in need of restoration and then part out?

    You would be able to make some money back and maybe be able to find a donor vehicle faster than just trying to locate a clip?

    Check with Lee Dodd, Wichita KS call information for phone number, Rick and Cathy Lawerance Wichita KS same on phone number. Lee has been a national club officer and should be aware of Hudson owners who can help in you area. Been through Liberal many times on the way to and from Amarillo TX.
