Most US HET Club members who subscribe via First Class Mail should receive their copies by mid-week this week. Bulk mail delivery may be delayed because of the holiday season.

If you are NOT a member of the HET Club and would like a FREE copy of the latest issue, contact me with your snail mail address at HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET).

Yup, got mine last week. Sure am glad I signed up for First Class delivery, only $5 more than base membership! No more waiting three weeks to get my WTN. Another masterpiece, Sam, keep up the good work!
  • Mine came today. To west Tennessee. Another good one.
  • Got mine in East Tennessee 11-18. Great Job, as usual. Thanks
    Bob

My car, Derm, but not me behind the wheel. I don't have that Clause in my contract...
  • My issue arrived on Nov 22nd, postmarked Nov 16 in Michigan, out here west of Calgary, Alberta. Excellent job!

I paid for first class mail and haven't got my copy yet. Is there a problem I need to know about?
  • Got mine two days after Warren so 8 days instead of 6 weeks I think that Sam has solved the mailing issue to Canada. Thanks Sam for looking after this problem. Of course the WTN came the day I got on a plane to Brazil so I didn't see it anyway....LOL I can't win.....
  • still waiting for mine.
  • Jim do you have first class mail?
  • Left before the post arrived.

I went to all the trouble of getting it to you on time and you buggered off to Brazil before it arrived? What a nerve! Actually, LOL...
  • Sorry Sam, had an early flight. I am rescheduling all trips in 2007 so I can sit by the mailbox for the next issue....LOL...

I don't know if any of the other Canadians know this but Sam drove across the border in the 40 Hudson and hand delivered all of the WTN's to everyone in Canada and we can expect that kind of service every issue....this is how dedicated Sam is to the club.....Bravo Sam....
  • Soooooooo..I got my Issue here in Washington yesterday(11-29-06)...........Not complaining cause I don't care too much when it gets here BUT..

The want ads are a problem.....By the time we get our issues on the west coast many of the Items (IE CARS) have already been snapped up.

This has happened to me on a couple of occasions.

Is it possible to post the non recurring Ads on the internet so that at least everyone gets an equal shot at these items??

    Thanks...
  • Tom,
Do you have the 1st class mailing option? I got mine in Las Vegas on the 22nd.

My problem with WTN ads on the internet is that non WTN subscibers would get the benefit of the ads without paying their dues.

    my 2 cents,
    Matt

I would think if they wanted to they could password it and only paid HET members could gain access to an area which would tell you the current password.........if the club decided it was worthwhile and fair to so.

As I pointed out to you on the chat, Thomas, putting the ads on the internet would simply shift the problem to non-computer users. You'd get the goodies and the non-computer user would loose out.

Of course, it could lead to massive sales of computers and new computer users. ...................

  • I actually think it would be quite simple...Make the first posting to the internet occur say one week after the WTN is first mailed, make them password protected and then there would be a better all around distribution

    of the ads..

For those who don't have access to the computers I say ..'GET WITH THE

PROGRAM" after all this is the 18th century

For those who don't have access to 9 cents a week for the First Class Mail option I say "HOW CAN YOU AFFORD PARTS?" After all the last Pony Express rider died 90 years ago...:D
  • Can someone tell me why I did not receive a copy as a new member? I sent the check for $30 on Oct 31st and it was cashed on Nov 16th. I have received no notice of membership or anything since sending the check. I'm kind of bummed since it took me so long to get my butt in gear and join offically and now nothing :-(
  • If it was cashed on the 16th of November then you missed the cutoff for that issue. You will get the next issue I am sure. They send them out the 16th of the month so all the info would have been at the printers.
  • I wonder if I'll get mine before Christmas.....
  • Jim, do you have first class mail. All the guys I talked to up here with first class got it within 8 days now that Sam has implemented the new first class mailing procedure. If you have normal delivery its going to take 4-6 weeks.
  • nope, don't have first class mail. Can't figure out why 1 st class is needed with WTN when any other magazine comes within a normal amount of time. Its the principle of the thing.

Unfortunately we don't have a large enuff circulation to get the postage permit in either the US or Canada the Newsweek, Hemmings, etc. does.:(
