1939 Hudson 112 lights

I have a simple question and I hope someone can help me!



I recently purchased a 1939 112 and I know that the front & rear lights aren't correct for the car but haven't yet been able to track a picture that shows me what the correct rears should look like. I have a picture in my head and also have some lenses from my old 1939 Six (sadly long gone out my ownership) but I believe that the 112 had different rear light clusters?



Does anyone have any pictures of a 1939 Hudson 112 from the rear end?

    With any luck, someone will step forward and help you. Meanwhile, have you looked through your H-E-T roster (assuming you're in the Club) to see if someone nearby owns a '39 112? Then you could simply go over and carefully measure it (as well as note the correct position on the car). And you never know...the owner might have a spare or two he'd sell you!

    Great pictures - thanks! The rear lights look like I remember them and in looking though my small stash of bits in the attic today I actually found an old 112 lens.

    Hudson used the same tail lights on 1937,1938,1939,& 1940 on certain 112 Models.

    Part NO BO128218 RHS on 1/4 panel,BO 128219 on LHS on 1/4 Panel

    used on models 81-82 Bro-Sed,88 Sed

    90-91 Bro-Uco

    40T Sed,@Sed,40Ucpe

    Part NO BO130500(black Paint),Bo130501(Primer)used on fender

    used on models 89 all exc Ucpe

    90 3Cpe,Vic Cpe,Trcpe,Cvcpe,Cvsed

    Part NO BO120777used on fender

    70-78 Cab,Cabpu,Panel Station

    90-98 Cab,Cab panel,Station

    So you have to know exact model so you can determine if the tail light is on the fender or 1/4 panel. These are the numbers for the tail light assembly,

    I do not know if the lenses would be different.
