Wanted: Photos like this one...
I am always looking for period photos to use in the White Triangle News. I prefer to use originals (we take GREAT care of them) or to get 300 dpi + scans either by email or on disk. I CAN'T use photos printed on a home computer printer or photocopies. If you have anything interesting, you can always contact me at HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET) or via private message. Also, my contact info as editor appears in every magazine. Keep us in mind! Thanks. Sam

Please note: I'm not just looking for pre-war shots. Anything period showing a Hudson product before it became "collectable" is of great interest. Example below. BTW...our friend with the cigar who appears to be so pleased with himself is leaning on a '28? Dodge Brothers vehicle. The cars behind him are a '30 Essex and a '35 Olds. Again, please keep the WTN in mind...:o0

Great photo of a lady and her Hudson. But what's with the garage? I hope the Hudson was not in there when it finally listed to the left and collapsed!0

Here is one of my Mom during early 50s. I believe the cabins were at Old Orchard Beach Maine.0 -
Anyone know this period correct owner and his rare 38 Hudson Convertible?0

howsabout this one????
This was shot in 1957 along Miller Road in Lancaster County
Fairly deep snowfall I might say...
The guy I got this from was 3 years old in the front seat. Said they brought equipment from the Route 83 construction project over to Lancaster County to open some of the roads.0 -
sorry about the picture size... I'll resize later...0

Dad drove Stepdowns throughout my childhood and early teens. This particular car stayed with us until 57 and was replaced by a 51 Hornet Hollywood. More room for my little brother to sleep on the back package shelf! I used to stand on the floor and look past Dads right ear pretending I was driving... fond memories.0 -

When I first got my 29 Hudson I bought a flywheel and some other parts from Pete Booze when he lived in Woodland Hills. I almost, and kick myself for not buying a long wheel base 29 Hudson from him. Wonder what ever happend to that car and other 29s he had at his home. There was another guy that lived around Woodland Hills thay had several old Hudsons and other old cars all around his front and back yard. Wonder if he still is around. The good old days I guess ?????? Ron
Now that I think of it, The other guy that had the old cars name is, Steve Bond0 -

Ken,
Isn't it funny that the simple, everyday things are often the one's that children often remember most. Ah, those were the days. Children, without seat belts, slept safely on the package shelf and lived to be adults. Do you have other photos of your family's Hudsons?

Tim Rice used to have a lot of '29's. Tim used to be in the Santa Monica area. Check with Richard Griffith of San Francisco, as he was a friend of Steve Bonds. Richard is in the H.E.T. roster.0 -

It might be fun to get some reminisences from those of us who had Hudsons in the family in our youth and publish them in the WTN. My dad was a small-town pastor in the early '50's and we had a very used '47 long-wheelbase sedan. Lots of room for 6 kids! The parishoners thought that the car was disreputable, so without asking him they bought us a 2-year-old '54 Pontiac, 4-door, black, 6cyl (Canadian built). My dad always said the Pontiac wasn't half the car his Hudson was...:cool:0 -

When I was about 4 years old, I distinctly remember my father's friend coming to pick us up in his 1957 Cadillac. It was a white and pink Coupe de Ville. Aside from the amazing presence of this car, getting inside to find it cold (on a hot summer day) was an amazement I'll never forget. It was my first experience with air conditioning. As far as your father's comparing the Pontiac to the Hudson, all I can say is Amen!0
