I got a battery filler in the box, bought some time back. I would sell it, but mybe I should put it on my hudson for "effect"
Mine has the tubing in goos shape, if it wasn't all NOS, I would send it your way dave...
Would these be acceptable/correct for a 50???0 -

Thanks H.K., but I already have two. One is NOS, mint in the box. Got it here on the forum not too long ago. The other is NOS, in good shape, but the tubing is so toasted, it crumbles in your hand. I think I'll try a hobby shop and look for tubing used with aquariums or model airplanes. As far as I'm concerned, Hudson (in its later years) would sell anything to anyone to make a buck. Case in point, I have a late 40's washer set up on my 53.0 -
Dave, Hudson sold these right up until the AMC deal in 54. They still had them but it really was pushed during the stepdown era. It's actually one of the NOS Hudson parts that you still can get for a reasonable price in the origional packaging in many cases. If you have a twin H oil bath set up with a Fram oil filter setup, it just gets a little crowded on that side of the engine bay!0

Thanks for verifying that bit of history. Although I have a Twin H set-up, my filters are the "dry' type. However, my 53 has power steering and the Fram oil filter too.0 -

great... my 50 has twin h oil bath aircleaners, and the LARGER fram oil filter.... I can hardly mount my right horn, or my coil right now, let alone anything else....0 -

Hudson Kid And All You Other Guys That Oil Filter Your Running Is Like A Loaded Gun About To Go Off If One Of Those Oil Lines 'pop' It's Good Buy To The Engine I Change My Oil Every 1000 Miles And With The Better Grade Of Oil We Rin Now Days I Feel It's Alot Better Than Running A Oil Filter

Paul, you would have a good point if we all ran flex lines that were NOS. However, I concluded long ago that I really needed to fab metal lines with flared ends to elininate that problem. Besides I don't think having a filter is a bad thing. Everyone to their own opinion. Some like Chocolate and some like Vanilla.0

Although this has been covered before, thank you for reminding those of us who have the oil filter about the rubber lines. Your point is well taken as is the suggestion to replace the rubber lines with metal tubing.0
