I don't want to stop driving, but I can!

I finished up my brake job on the Hudson yesterday (I started back in May). I was inspired now that summer finally ended here in FL.

The brakes feel great. I finished off the brake job with new wheel cylinders all the way around, a new rear flex hose, and a good bleeding (the brake system not me). The best part is that all of the parts were readily available at local stores.

For around $150 in parts, I rebuild the master cylinder, replaced all the rubber lines, installed new wheel cylinders, replaced the front return springs, and replaced the outer rear axle seals. I got the part numbers from Ken Cates website, parts came from Napa and Advance. I put almost 100 miles on it since yesterday, smiling the whole time.

Thanks to ken for collecting all of this information and making it easy to find!

Now that stopping is less of an issue, I can focus on the going part.

    Dude....

That took you longer than Hudsondad! :p

and what else is scarry, you put more miles on yours in one day than he did since he rebuilt his, last year....
  • I'm not gonna comment on timetables. I'm chronologicly challenged myself.

Main thing is, its done - and now he's motoring about HUDSON style!

    Yee ha!

It's never the plan, its just how these things go. If the washing machine didn't crap out and flood half my house, I might have finished a week earlier:)

Either way, I'm just glad to be moving on down the list... (and glad to be higher in the miles driven ranking than Hudsondad!)
