Over 2 years and I've never seen a NOS Tailight assembly for a Commodore.
I thought it would be fun to do a poll on how much it will go for!

Looks a bit pittewd on the one side, call it shelf wear.
My guess is around $90 bucks...
which is a bit high considering the condition.
I would pay around $150-$200 for a nice set of early takeoffs, or NOS.0 -

Its so much nicer looking than the ones on my car it brings a tear to my eye! And the inside of the housing is clean.
Anyway - are these style tailight housings readily available in good shape - or do the ALL have pitting and need to be stripped, drilled, filled and chromed?0 -
Those will also fit a 1951 Hornet!0

Well - at least the tailights are realtively easy to take in and out!
I've never heard of anything around the northwest to go to and look for parts?0 -

Hi Paul, Nice meetin' ya at PF.
By drilling one additional hole in the panel per light, they can be used on the super. I did it with my 49 Super to help the night visibility. One more step towards "Commodorizing" her. LOL
I have two bulbs in each. One is an LED type and very bright. I do have a 12 Volt system too. Dave W.0 -

Where?
I have been passively seeking out a nice presentable (or NOS) pair for some time. I think Frank had one, and I wasn't sure but I thought it was either shelf worn or had a few pits. My concentration has been the harder to find part, the taillight bezels always seeme to be somewhat common. I guess I'll have to comb Frank's table at Doc's meet come May. Maybe I need to step it up to "active" or "aggressive" :eek:0 -
