Could you please help me- Wheel Questions
OK, first off, please dont hate me for asking this. I did try the search feature... Frankly I dont know much about computers OR cars and it's easiest for me to start a new post. My husband and I are HET club members if that will seek me any favor.
He wants wheels for Christmas for his Hudson he is restoring. He has a 51 Hudson Commodore.
Here is what I know (and correct me if I'm wrong)
*15 X6
*
The lugbolt is 5 with 4 1/2 inch spacing.
*Dont get ford wheels because the center circle might not be big enough.
He will have to drill an extra hole for some sort of pin that sticks out to stick the wheel on when attaching it to the car. (hope that makes sense)
We have 2 junk yards and they have nothing.
Soooo what should I do?
Can I just walk into a tire store and ask for this? Is there some place on line you could direct me to?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try searching this forum for the recent thread, Steel Wheels. That may be of some help to you. Also, be patient, I'm sure others will chime in with useful info.
Good luck with your search and the 51 Hudson.:)0 -
Laurie, may I ask where you are located? I beleive that I may know where a set of five are.0

I used the American Racing Chrome reverse wheels with baby moons on mine. They're both 4 1/2 " and 4 3/4" holes so you dont't need to drill out for the locating pin as it fits into one of the lug holes on the 4 3/4" pattern. Reasonable shipping through summitracing.com. Below is a link to the webpage. They run about $74.00 a piece including centercap.

This is absolutely PERFECT! This is exactly what he wants. I know he wanted all chrome and he has mentioned moons before. This is in my price range and he will be happy not to have to drill an extra hole. I thank you so so much! Thanks for helping me give my husband the perfect present!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for your replies and taking the time to help me. BTW, I live in Rapid City, South Dakota.0
