Anyone know where to get replacement filter bowl gaskets? This is the little glass bowl that goes between the fuel pump and the carburetors on a Twin H. Mine was leaking and I had to bypass it but would like to hook back up as original.

Thanks,

  • You can cut one from 1/16" cork. Runt

Thought about that as I had to make gaskets for my lifter covers and breather tube, but this gasket is kind of complicated. Hard to explain but it has several cuts in it for fuel flow and a double sealing surface. One for the glass bowl itself and one for the strainer that goes inside.

    Thanks,

I have alot of home made gaskets made from rubberized cork in my 29 and it works great. A marker (ink pen) some good sizzers, single edge razor, hole punches for screws or bolts, and some patience and you can make anything. Good luck,Ron

Here are some part numbers for bowl gaskets. The diameter is outside diameter of the glass bowl.

    Diameter Gasket Number

    2 1/4" Carquest/NAPA D34545, Felpro 5019

    2 1/8" Carquest/NAPA D35288, Felpro 773

    2" Felpro 12473

Note: You can get a gasket and paper filter under Carquest 86943 or NAPA 3943

1 7/8" (This is Carter's Compact Model) The only place I found that had a gasket was a web site.

    www.fasterthanthem.com

The gasket is part number CAR-23A20. The filter is part number CAR-3082.
