light dimmer question

I recently converted my 53 Hornet to 12 volt, but am having problems with the dash dimmer rheostat working. Does anybody make a replacement dimmer that will work with 12 volt (I also need it to dim some add-on gauges). Thank you for all the advice I have received in the past

    A dash rheostat in good condition should not be sensitive to the voltage, 6 or 12 volts. A factory equivalent unit should work fine on 12 volts.
