Maybe it's the rare extra krispy KFC Colonel Harlen Sanders model.0

kentucky is probably a little too far south for that option, dave
used a parts car with sanders. there was a canister mounted through the package shelf at each side. the canisters had an approx 3/4" hose which would deposit sand in front of the rear tires. there was a switch much like "unity" or "fog lamp" type under dash which was actually marked "sanders" never investigated the actuation system but i assume they had solenoids.
dave, it could be a useful option for your car, and oddly enough i seam to recall one catching my eye in the latest wtn classifieds. just imagine the streams of glitter pouring from your 53.0 -
that is wild, who would of thought of that other than hudson. like todays cars have buttons on steering wheel to change radio stations, hudson had that in the thirtys i believe, via a button or buttons on floor board. has any one seen this set up recentlly or they all gone . sanders ! what a great idea for us in the snow belt. thanks, dermott.:)0

Hey Nick, Never heard of that. Thanks for that Bit-O-History! And cheers to you for juming into the glitter goofiness.I'll have to check with hudsonkid about the glitter. Rumor has it that his oracle can communicate with Rondey and Kittmaster, keepers of the glitter. And BTW, the beaming beauty of my Broadway blue Hornet would out sparkle the glitter.

Hudson was an engineering company, one known for its many contributions to motoring. The foot control for the radio has been around for years, and on many different makes. They seemed to fade in popularity in the mid 70's. Until that time, Cadillacs and Imperials used them with their signal seeking radios. The "sander" set-up might be good in the snow belt, but I'll stick with Nick's idea of dispensing glitter.0 -

and dave, what screams glitter more than BROADWAY blue.
btw the oracle comment - maybe just the timing as i had just read your comments in the peace thread, but funniest thing i've read in a long time0 -
yeah, Dave 53 7C comedian. hehe...
I think for my repaint, I am going to go with something that has so much metalflake in it, it's going to hurt your eyes....
it will give new meaning to glitter.0 -

Hey Nick, I'm loving the subtle hint of metal flake (dare I say glitter?) in the Broadway blue! Glad you liked the Peace thread. Stay tuned for more...We aim to please.0 -

Better shout out to Rondey or Kittmaster. They've got the mix. Can't wait to peep your tight whip, yo. BTW, This will be required...eyewear---> :cool:0 -
I for one am having a deep rethink of the glitter situation. HK convinced me to glitter up the back of my jean jacket with "Hudson Stud" while I was giddy at the time and thought it a smashing idea the beating the biker gang gave me the other day has led to a lot of reflection and I may just have soured on the whole glitter thing. But we will still have those 2 beautiful weeks when we glittered everything in sight. Next time you are over at HK's ask to see his Hudson Pajama's....a work of art I tell ya, a work of art....but so misunderstood....0
-
Hum, biker gang you say. It must have been the guys from HHHootersville. They're just jealous of anyone who can out glitter them. If you and HK are going to keep glittering, just do your undies and socks. That way you can still hang with bikers. Just beware of "Glitter Fall-out" from your pants legs.
BTW, how is it that you've seen HK's PJ's?0 -
Easy, its the only way he drives his Hudson....you should know that he even has the Doc Hudson slippers.....0

Ya, but he ONLY wears slippers when he's driving his Hudson. The PJs stay at home. :rolleyes:0 -
Yeah now come to think of it he did mention needing new seat covers....something about the plastic covers being cold ...never really got the reference until now....0
-
Just the drivers side needs a cover. Something about it being blow-out. I told him to watch his intake of beans.0
