1936 head
Is the 1936 6cyl. head unique to that year or is it the same thro' to 1947? I sold a 1936 block today and the guy wants a head too, I have several of that era which all look the same,( I know '34/5 are different coz the water pump) i have a head gasket that matches them all and the block but just had something in my head about the waterways may be different?. If they all externally look the same but are different internally how do you tell what you've got? numbers?
Help please.

Take the head gasket lay it on the block and see if all the waterways line up and none are covered then take the same gasket and lay in on the head if all the waterways match you should be good to go.0

'36 through '39 are the same. '40 thru '47 are virtually identical to the '36 -'39, apart from the threaded hole for the clamp screw for the distributor.
