WOW and I thought the rust I cut out of the lower rear panels in my Special yesterday was bad. I was so depressed as I didn't think it would be as bad and I would just cut and weld some new metal in. WEEELLLLL it turned out to be a bigger area than I thought by the time I ground it all out and now I will have to have a buddy of mine who does metalworking make up some new pieces and weld them in. Too many bends and curves around the wheel well for my talents and equipment. BUT I feel a little better now after seeing these pics. I am sad though to see such neat old stuff rotting away. I want to go and just save them, but I have more than my share to save here at home :rolleyes:0

HUDSON RUST?? Looks like everything in there is rusted. with a little searching I'm sure there are some salvageble parts.(before they all hit the crusher)
Where is this located, near you ? I notice where you are from. Been there once, stopped at the Family Time resturant (bufett) Goood food. Is it still there?

That coupe looks interesting. What is that Hemi in...not a stepdown is it?0

Great Pics - Hudsonkid!
What a shame these cars were left outside just a little too long!
The old train/tractor should fetch some money from a collector.
And Everyone who's saved or is saving (even us rodders) a Hudson should pat themselves on the back...your car could be one of these except for the turn of fate that made us break open our wallets and hearts!0 -

The hemi and the car it was in and the 51 coupe were sold yesterday.0 -
What sort of pickup truck is that? It resembles a Dover. Send me the Hemi and the '54 Hornet Sedan.0

Hudsonkid...those are really terrific photos! Thanks.0

Great photos!! I appreciate you "returning" and posting them.
Are you allowed to reveal the location of these autos? Is the owner willing to part some of these out?0 -

Any room for "negotiations" on prices of "an entire car?"0 -

How is that old Hornet Special coming. It sounds like you got the bug and it is taking shape. I had a feeling you would be the one to bring her back to life. I'm sorry you have rust but I bet the feeling of seeing her come back to classy chassis is one you didn't have when you bought it. Do you have any pics you could send me? I will send a couple of the 51 Pacemaker I settled on and the Doc Hudson personality it took over at MSRA last year. Good luck and good Restoring. Bobby0

Amazing how biodegradable they really. We tend to think of them as indestructable, but no one escapes mother nature if left out side. sad to see. I' d like to grab one just to hang up in some bar up northern Minnasnowtah0

Two of these rusted hulks are candidates for restoration. 40 or 41 Hudson Convertible and if my guess is right a 37 T wood stationwagon. These cars in the right hands can be brought back. The unique parts could be all there for both vehicles? Sure would like to see the T Woody!0
