Hello Folks,
I am restoring a 54 Hornet Special ,and am ready to replace sound deadning material. The stuff that I took out seems worn out. I worry about re using it. Is there anything out there in the resto world that is acceptable to use?? I have seen some that has adhesive already on it. Some are very expensive , and others not so. If I could get some input on this from some of you Hudson guys, and ladies I would be greatful!!!
Thanks!!

You might want to use this stuff from Eastwood. (Probably available elsewhere as well.) http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=2520&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=601&iSubCat=605&iProductID=25200

Thank's Jon for the link. We are comming along on the 54 at a slow pace, but are very pleased with work so far! There was more rust than expected when car was disasembled. So alot of metal work was needed. Hope to see you at Doc's.

If you want the car quiet go to this site and pick the sound proofing.
http://www.dynamat.com/
Check out Jay Leno... promoting the product for his Hudson restoration. I used some in my car when I laid in new carpet... will soon rip out the rest and put in dynamat just like Jay is doing... total floor.

I've used both dynamat and Acousti Shield. Dynamat is great for doors and floors, but is a bit on the expensive side. Try Quiet Ride Solutions, they offer kits with some of both products in them. <http://www.quietride.com/>
Am happy with mine, which I have in roof, floor, under seats and behind rear seat. Will add to doors when upholstery is redone. .. Walt-LA0
