utility box

Keep your eyes open, they do pop up from time to time. Maybe 8-10 years ago a fellow from Maryland contacted me (he had heard I was editor of the local Hudson newsletter) and OFFERED me the slide-out box that was sitting in his backyard. A little surface rust, but in great shape! I advertised it in our local newsletter with no success. At my urging, the fellow put a $100 price tag on the box, and sent the ad to the WTN. A fellow in Florida bought it. So, keep your ears open and watch the WTN ads!0

to find an original, MOST unlikely. Press Kale wanted to have a utility cp. & being unable to find the original parts, made the one in his red coupe.
But as Jon said, if super lucky, maybe. I remember a man from Yuma, Az. on several occasions brought an NOS one to the big San Diego swap meet in Feb. but as no one at the time had a period cp. into which to put it, as far as I know, it went unsold.0 -

FYI,
If interested I know a fabricator in Pa. that might build you a close replica utility box with tailgate, then you could obtain rollers & misc hardware from local garage door supplier. This person built a box to my spec's differently than Hudson and was not too expensive considering workmanship.0
