37 wiper motor needed

Unknown
edited November -1 in HUDSON
I sent mine away to Ficken Wiper Service in NY, the place with all the left over Trico parts and they returned to me stating it was not rebuildable due to the casting warpage over the decades and they had no replacements.

does anyone have one even if it needs to be rebuilt?

The correct trico motor for 1937, is SK-25, in case anyone has a box full of unidentified ones.
  • thanks - but no go on the ebay motor

also thanks Jon for the P/N SK-25 - I goggled searched it but came up empty. Mine has several patent numbers but no number such as sk-25 casted or punched in it.

    So I'm still looking!!!!

    FYI

I converted an 'in-expensive universal Wiper motor' from JC Whitney to my '37 by utilizing the vacume motor bracket & linkage. For controlling off & on, I bent a pc of 1/8 welding wire down to the motor thru the original dash hole with a knob that pulls up & down rather than swiveling. (The only drawback is toggeling to 'park' the wipers). The motors are avail in 6v or 12v and was a pretty ez conversion. There are Companies listed in all the St Rod Mag's that sell bolt on 3 spd Wiper Kits with park and intermittent capability.
