39 coupe

I think the car is great and especially a coupe. As far as 39s go it is one of my least favorite years as the front end/grill treatment is just out of balance. (Just my My Opinion, I know they're rare!!!) Maybe because the 37s and 38s are so well done and the 40s look good too. I think Hudson styling missed the mark in 1939. I'm sure there's just as many out there that love 'em.0

I think it's great! Have one just like it (OK, so I'm just a little prejudiced). What I really like about the car is the balance of the front and rear. The 112 has the short front end (like the Wasp/Pacemaker). Of course, that is the downside to the car. Any engine longer than a splasher (212/175) won't fit without modification to either the firewall or the radiator.
One would assume that the car has the 175 ci engine and the 4.56 rear which were standard for the Model 90. That would make the car an "about town" vehicle that wouldn't do very well on a road with a speed limit above 50 mph. But I wouldn't let that keep me from buying it.
The car appears to have all the trim it should have. It also has the "standard" rust on the driver floor pan. But for a 68 year old car, it looks like it is in good shape. If it was close by, I would go look at it (then convince my wife she needs one too) then buy it.0
