I am putting a 308 back together for my Pacemaker coupe. I need parts. Does anyone know where I can pick up a working/rebuilt fuel pump and water pump? I live in Canada, but shipping's not an issue. Best place? Best price?

Thanks,

Geoff.

(Also need a distributor)

For both items, phone Dave Kostansek or Tim Cheney at Williamsfield Motors in Ohio, tel. (440) 293-4079 or 994-9173 before 8 PM EST. They offer rebuilt Hudson fuel and water pumps, outright or exchange.

Are you aware of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club? A great resource for finding parts and a clearinghouse for Hudson information, see website at http://www.hudsonclub.org/ . Williamsfield Motors and a lot of other Hudson parts suppliers advertise in the Club's magazine, The White Triangle News.

  • Also, since Dave Kostansek was already recommended, for both, you can also venture a AMC fuel pump, available from any auto parts store. Just ask for a fuel pump for an 83 AMC Concorde, do a search in this forum, you will see it gets discussed a lot. They're usually right around $18 and mostly come with a lifetime warranty.
  • Excellent advice, all. Thanks.
  • Walt's Garage here, if you get the AMC fuel pump make sure you install the thick spacer or you will break the arm right off. The spacer is available it's about 1/4 inch thick.
