Another rare aftermarket Hudson accesory

I picked up a parts cache recent of original Hudson parts in the box with their instructions. One of the things I got was Part No. HU-303 "Perfect Compensator" for Hudson Center-point steering.
Perfect Equipment Co. Kokomo IN.
I got an original one in the box with the instructions.
So what does it do? Take the play out of a loose center-point
steering? I've never seen one before but I have one now.
Maybe this is something we should have reproduced for all our
Hudsons.... Even after I replaced the centerpoint with new
bearings and the better of 2 castings there was still some
play in the steering wheel....and I did take apart the drag link and check it.

Aron, I have had on on my 51 Super for almost 2 years and it does take All of the play out of the center bearing. ( even with new bearings and shaft they still have some play)
Got it from David Sollon and i think he uses them.
Lots of cross country driving, and still very tight.
Thanks Rudy0
