Ther is no way to check the clutch oil. It was to be replaced as a service item.
The manual you seek as well as a fresh refill of clutch fluid can be found at the Hudson Club Store. If they do noth ahave the 51 service book, use the 52 as the motor is just baout the same
Check out the club as www.hudsonclub.org0 -
Thanks Very Much. Will Also Ask If They Have A Rear Vision Mirror For Inside Vehicle? I Am Missing Mine....0

Make sure to sign up in the Hudson club. When you receive your WTN[White Triangle News]It will also have a list of items availible from the Hudson club store. There is always items being added to this, but I don't believe that mirrors are currently offered.Maybe someone on here has one, good luck0

For the Mirror - call Al Suffrahn in Maricopa, Az at 520 - 568-2911.
He should have a rear view mirror. I have gotten a lot of hard to find parts from him as well as he does great mechanical work.

A quick followup - Do join the National HET Club (as Clutch Guy suggested)and find the local HET Chapter to join as well. Between the two you'll wake up to a new world of wonderful information & people willing to help you! If you need information on how to join - do a reply and I or some other Hudson Nut can give you the info. Good luck on locating a mirror and get a manual as well!
Changing the clutch fluid is an "experience" to say the least, but not bad once you've done it. Best to keep that clutch maintained!!
Have a Great DAY.

ALSO WOULD ANYBODY KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO LOCATE A 308 ENGINE? OR WHO MITE HAVE ONE? ALSO WHAT IT SHOULD COST WHEN IN NEED OF A REBUILD??:cool:0 -
Want To Find One There To Suit Rebuild. Will Ship To Australia.
Thanks Rob0 -
I have a 308 crank and a late 262 block, I thought about making a stroker 262 since I can't find a 308 block. If you have trouble finding a complete engine, I'll sell you what I have. I've got about 15+ years of Hudson parts I've been collecting, and am trying to get rid of. All stepdown stuff, except a '28 Essex engine and trans, and a '28 Hudson frame. It all needs to go to make room for all the Packard stuff I plan on buying.
