  • I have insurance with Abraham George on my 1946 Hudson Coupe. He does a great job understanding your insurance needs. Mine only cost $345 for the entire year, and it is valued at replacement cost of the vehicle. He is by 635 and Web Chappel, you can reach him at (972) 919-6117. I just talked to him yesterday, tell him Mike from EDS send you, (I want more negotiating power next time)

    Good luck....
  • Thanks Mike, I called him, and he answered on his cellphone, nice guy. Took my information and we will meet tomorrow for lunch. Again, thanks Mike.

You guys, give him a call.....tell him I send you (Brook) just kidding Mike.
  • Out of curiousity, what's the problem with American Collectors?
  • I am not sure, I never had American Collectors............I always had American National, it was another agent before, but Abraham seems to be close to me in Dallas, so I asked them to move my policy over to him.
  • I've had little disagreement with the company (American Collectors) on my last claim. They didn't pay the claim because accident occured at my office parking lot. They said I used it for commuting, IT WAS A SATURDAY! I cancelled with them yesterday and moved my policy over to American National with Abraham, he is also going to do my home, regular cars, and life insurance....................awsome, now I can get rid of the farmers agent too..

Sorry to hear about your problems with American Collectors. You should have said that you stopped at your office on the way to the mechanic, car show, etc. If it were me, I'd file compaints with the States Attorney's Office and your state's Dept. of Insurance. I have used them for 20+ years and never had a claim. But, when I was insuring my 53 Hornet, they refused to do the value I wanted. When I asked them how they arrived at their value, they said they based it on what I paid for the car AND Old Cars Price Guide! When I heard that, I almost feel out of my chair. First of all, if you inherit a car and pay nothing for it, would they insure it for nothing? Then, using the Old Cars Price Guide to determine insurance value is just sad. It wasn't until I emailed the VP of the company (courtesy of an article on this forum at the time) that she resolved the issue in one day. And don't get me started on Farmer's...
  • Well, I should...but it is okay, because I already send my cancellation letter to them today. My coverage with Abraham started from last Saturday anyway. So I am cool.. Well I feel everyone should talk to this guy atleast once, because I think he does a good job reviewing your car and other assetts like home, and other auto and he also gave insuance for the small business I have, which I never had insurance before. Now I am covered on everything, and I have an umbrella coverage from him too, only for 132 dollars a year for 1 million dollars. I am really thankful to Mike for giving his number. If anyone wants...he name is Abraham, (972) 919-6117. He answered every call I made to him ( I even called him little late around 7 pm to see if he answer..he did, but he was in his car on the cellphone, but not bad...)
  • I am glad you like him, for the rest of you, make sure you tell him my name.....:-)
