2 door vs. 4 door

Does anyone know why the collector books have the 4 doors more valuable than the 2 doors? Is this a typo? I don't recall any other car like this.

    Price guides never have reflected Hudsons very well. They tend to base their information off published sales prices. A make such as hudson has relatively few sales and a very small portion are published sales such as auction reports. Based on volume of sales and therefore more current information, their sedan prices may verywell be higher.

    It seems to me that all of the price guides are inaccurate. As far as Hudsons, you can't buy one as with the money the books state they are worth.

    NADA Classic Car value guide places the 2 doors at a higher value than the 4 doors. As most owners know, the values stated for Hudsons in most value guides is based on limited and sometimes flawed information. The values shown in the NADA guide are a starting point that must be tempered by the true condition of the target automobile.

    All true Ken, but in the county in which I reside the NADA value guides are the words etched in stone as far as the county tax accessor is concerned. You are taxed based upon the value stated in the guide. DOES NOT matter if the car is in tatters or not. For tax purposes it is a restored vehicle and taxed accordingly. And there is no number one ,two condition and so on. All are considered to be in pristine shape. In this county they don't want you to destroy them, they want you to title them-more money in it for them.

    Oklahoma got rid of that damn personal property tax several years ago. Good riddance to it!
