No surf boards but here are more pictures. One of my car arriving from the mainland and two other Hudsons on the Island, A 1946 pickup and a '31 or '32 (Ithinkl) original bought on Maui Essex. Enjoy,

Hi 46super6, I was there on Maui last september on conference, should have ridden my john deer up there and had some races LOL

Hawaii is a beautiful place, I have some clients up there, ex Kiwis or at least 1 side of the marriage, we send kitchens to them, 1 arrived there two months ago and have another to go on the drawing board to design and price

  • your third pic is a 33 ESSEX TERRAPLANE 6, sWHO OWNS THAT??? bill albright
  • Mike,

It is a great place to live. Maui is kind of like a small town but you can get everything you need. We always meet people who would love to come to Hawaii but won't fly over the ocean. New Zealand is one of the places we hope to visit soon.

  • Bill,

The '33 (thanks for the correction) is owned by Edmond Tavares, he also owns the pickup (its actually a '47). He is listed in the club roster. He restored the '33 himself quite a few years back and doesnt take it out much. It looks brand new. When he was finished he took it to someone who worked at the dealership cleaning the cars and he said he remebered this car. His story went something like that. As far as I know my '46 and his two cars are the only Hudsons on Maui.

  • Walt here; I see you are getting it together. Margaret and I rode in that 33 and it sure is a beautiful car. We hope to make Maui before the year is out and will let you know. Need anymore pieces? Did the air deflectors for the radiator get installed OK. You still live in the house we visited? Garage looks familiar.
  • Hey Walt,

Its good to hear from you, we have moved to the other side of the Island. We now live in Kahului not too far from the airport. I had to put the car together so I could move it in one piece, so I have not put the air deflectors on yet. Actually I am looking to replace the front fenders, the insides of mine have been cut out.

We are looking forward to a visit from you, its been awhile. We will have you over for dinner agian. Someday we will visit you in SF. I will e-mail you my new address but we cannot receive mail until the subdivion is 50% full so it might be a few more months. My cell phone # is the same though. Hope you and Margaret are doing well.
