hello all, I need some help! Sunday afternoon i was driving my 34 and i herd a clicking sound in the engine. I shut it down right away but the damage was done. After a tow to the house i droped the pan to find that my pistons had broken up.The bottom of 3 of the pistons had broken off looks like someone reached in and snaped off two inch squares of them. Some pieces had made their way into the head and hit the valves. The diper on one of the rods is bent. rod bearings seem fine. I have not taken the mains down yet. I didnt find any bearing material in the oil not sure what to do? I live in

New Hampshire can anyone recomend a good rebuilder or does anyone know of an engine for sale?

Many thanks chuck

Contact either Carl Weber (NEChudson654@aol.com), Jim Digiorgio (NEC1934hudson@charter.net) or Tom Brintnall (NECsuper6esx@aol.com) - all are in Massachusetts (New England Chapter members). Drop the NEC at the begining of the email address.

    Chuck,

I have a 6 cyl motor that ran before removing from my '37 Terraplane to st rod. It may need only a valve job from setting. If interested email cv.cars@verizon.net
