clutch adjustment

Jim, it should be about 1 inch from the floor when hot before you feel the first engagement. There should be about 1 inch from the top where you feel nothing before the resistance of the clutch springs. Anywhere in between there is fine. If it is not fully engaged when the pedal is out, you will burn out the clutch. If it is not fully disengaged when the pedal is on the floor it will creep and be hard to shift. Make sure the fluid is clean and the correct amount of 4-6 oz is in the clutch. The adjustment is simple. find the rod under the car that has the adjusting yoke on it. It will be attached to the paddle looking thing on the side of the bell housing. Remove the cotter pin and the yoke pin and screw out for tighter clutch or in for looser clutch. You will see the difference when you get down there. Remember to keep it from having all the way out to engage or the smoke will be a risen. You can call me if you like at 952-887-2514, after you look at it, if it is confusing.0
