No, No, Non, the pilot bearing for the Jet is a bronze bushing. You should be able to obtain one from any decent bearing or engineering supply.

yES THE hYDRO TAKES A BRONZE BUSHING, BUT i WOULDNT TRY THAT WITH A STICK SHIFT TRANSE ASKED FOR A PILOT BEARING NOT A BUSHING BILL ALBRIGHT0

3 speed stepdown pilot bearing is a standard metric bearing 10mm x 30mm0

I say again, the Jet uses a bronze bushing for the standard transmission, not a ball bearing . Part number 308038. Don't confuse it with Step-down.

The specs for this bushing are 13/16" o/d, 5/8" i/d and 7/8" length. You should be able to just go and buy one. I did. It fitted straight into the end of the crankshaft on my Jet , and needed no reaming. It pays to soak at least overnight in engine oil, so that the oil permeates through the pores of the phosphor bronze bushing. If you put it in dry it could squawk a little on engaging the clutch. There is no provision for oiling it in place, so it would pay to also to put some anti-sieze paste around the spigot when installing the gearbox.
