It's hard to tell the condition of this car, but the bidding is only in the $800's at the moment. Looks like there might be something there to work with, so long as the frame isn't rusted... Supposedly garaged since '65, when it last ran.

I'd buy this one in a heartbeat - rather than that 49 Coupe for 16k!

Wish mine had looked this good!
  • Atlas tires that hold air? Like the one that is flat on the right rear. And why couldn't he remove the blanket on the front seat to see what, if anything, is beneath it? Drove into the garage in 1965. Then, parts disappeared to where?

These cars (this one and the "twin") are located at a Transmission shop here in Knoxville. Both are also advertised on Knoxville's craigslist:

A member of the Smoky Mountain Heartland Chapter, Lloyd Whedbee, has seen this particular car up close and says it needs a lot of work.

  • Well, that explains the stacks of transmissions we see in the background. From the photos the seller has posted, I'd say the car needs work, lots and lots of it. But, if it can be purchased right, it might make a good project for someone who has time, talent, tools and money.
