Some '37 and '47 Hudson parts to unload
Some bits are bigger than others, but the thread for Josh's '37 engine problem reminded me that I need to get some stuff out of here, hopefully to someone coming to the Hudson Nationals since I live a couple hours south of Auburn.
Money's nice, but I'm not looking to cash in - I don't have Barrett-Jackson fever (just a case of "I want my garage back!"). If you showed up with a case or two of Shiner Bock beer, you never know how much you could walk away with.
Background on what I have and what I'm doing: I grabbed what was left of a '37 Terraplane that had been sawed in half to make a stake bed truck and apparently left in a field sitting on naught but its hubs for the last several decades. I did get a good front clip and cowl out of this, but not much else. Later on, I grabbed the remains of a '47 parts truck with a rough but usable cab, bed and frame. Hopefully, I can merge the two and make one halfway decent '37-looking pickup. Due to the nature of this Dr. Frankenstein-inspired beast, I have some original parts that will not be needed and I'd like very much to put them in the hands of someone who DOES need or even someone who knows someone who needs them.
Here's what I have pictures of already:
Here's the gallery:

What's in there:
A '47 Hudson pickup engine - complete with its own water reservoir (i.e., there's a plug missing and you can see standing water in the cylinder). I need to get the whole thing out of here - so I'd rather not piece this one out. the whole thing will go dirt cheap (or beer cheap), but pieces will be exorbitant.... so take the whole thing! Please!
'47 Hudson pickup drive shaft. I see a little exterior pitting near the tail, but otherwise looks good
'47 Pickup gas tank - terrible shape (the whole bottom half rotted out and had rat's or mice living in it at one time LOL). But... maybe you need a flange or something off of it before I toss it out? I also have a '37 tank (not pictured yet) in the same shape but no filler neck. Let me know if you need anything off of it before I toss it?
'47 pickup coil and the small wiring plug to the firewall.
'37 Terraplane front suspension. I'm supposed to try to wrestle the bearings out of it for another fella, but the drums are solid stuck to the shoes so far. If I can't bust them free without tearing anything up, I'd rather just get the thing out of here in one piece.
'37 Terraplane bits n bobbles: Air filter, horn, coil and busted up carb. There's also an exhaust log there that I think was just found laying in the cab. I have no idea what that one came from LOL
Ignore the Mopar/440 stuff that's in there.
Also available but not pictured yet:
'37 Terraplane seat frame and springs
'37 Terraplane engine - really bad shape but a handful of pieces may be useful (already offered the rods to Josh and the heat riser is going to Henry). This one I will tear apart if you need something off of it
'37 Terraplane rear end complete with springs - although these springs are heavily rust pitted.
Eventually as I make progress on this, I will have available the '47's rear and and maybe front end.
I'll get more pictures on the site tonight. Feel free to heckle/question or email me here or at dgw@comcast.net , too.

Scanned my old emails - I see the 1st one where you said water jacket... later on I could have sworn you were asking for a heat riser LOL Whichever it was, you've piped in for it first!0

Again, this stuff can walk right out of here for not much more than a beer and a handshake. :-) I want it gone, but in the right hands... Mother Nature has possessed them long enough haha
I could use a handful of small pieces if you feel guilty and want to trade - maybe a couple of stainless hood spears for a '37, or some interior doorknobs, etc. I could also use some better '37 front fenders or '47 rear fenders, but that's a bit much to ask for bits n' pieces like these.
If y'all want any of this and are coming to the nat's or have a friend coming by, I'll be glad to lay it on ya.0
