Never been much of a Castrol user. I've used either Amsoil or Shell Rotella T since the late '80s and haven't HAD to switch. I'll look and see what those two have to say about their current oils before I'll do anything else.0

Is Castrol Syntec a non-detergent oil and if not, is it "safe" to use it in an engine that has been using Castrol Non-Detergent 30W oil for many years?0

Is 20/50 ok for a splasher? I once read that for the splasher engines it was recommended to use a lighter weight like 10/30. This would allow the oil to splash around more. Any thoughts?0

Has anyone used MOTORHEAD Hi-Z MOTOR OIL, that is advertised in WTN?
Amsoil recommended their 15W-40 diesel marine oil.
