Several years ago I bought a couple of Stepdowns at an auction near Eau Claire, WI. One of them was a '52 Wasp that was missing the head off of the engine. I looked around all over for it at the sale site, but it never turned up. I'm finally geting around to working on it some and I'd like to locate a head for it. I'd prefer that it be a 262 head rather than a 232, as I would like to keep this one stock, but I can make due with either. It's not important, however, whether it's aluminum or cast iron. Either is acceptable. Any chance one of you nice gents have one to spare?

Bill Albright has some of various sizes.
  • Where are you located, James? Even the cheapest head is heavy and thus expensive to ship. If you live nearby I'll throw one your way off my old Pacemaker engine.

    Geoff.

I'm located in nearly mosquitto-free (this year anyway) Minnesota. Must be something about the drought. I've been known to business with our friends to the North. In fact I rather like you guys. You'd make nice illegal immigrants.

Thank you for that thought. I'll contact him. He's in Tennesee, if I recal right. He recently expressed some interest in a 68,000 mile Twin-H 308 I mentioned on this forum a couple of weeks ago.
