Playstation 2 Gran Turismo 5

As of August 1st, Sony announced the full Gran Turismo 5 car list. It consists of 10,000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients. That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. I understand that the following Hudsons will be included:

    That's really cool Sarah! That series puts cars in the game that are very photo realisitc. I was once thinking of writing EA Games and suggesting they make a NASCAR 1952 since they produce NASCAR games.

    My other suggestions would be a few of the other racers cars:

    Herb Thomas

    Tim Flock

    Dick Rathman etc.

    Plus some early super 6 racecars and a boattail speedster. hehe

    Keep us posted on what the developers say as far as that kind of availability of getting cars into the game.,

    I was just on the site again that posted the list and now they've recanted the list ( http://gtcenter.eu/gt/sorry-about-gt5-car-list ) , saying it was more of a wish list! :(



    Sony's response:

    “Despite news articles claiming that ‘SCEI/Polyphony Digital’ have made an official announcement with regards to GT5 featuring 1000 vehicles, we can confirm that this is pure speculation. It would appear that the list is a mixture of vehicles that were included in previous GT titles, coupled with somebody’s own fantasy garage.



    Further details about GT5 will be announced in due course, but for the moment at least, we can confirm that the current car list/speculation, does not come from SCE.”



    I was so excited too.



    (Not sure where the 1,000 cars comes from in Sony's quote, that must have been spurred from a latter rumor?)

    I heard that it takes like 180 days to get one car right. further, the GT-5 will be for the playstation 3.



    I was really hoping it was the real deal. I think it would be awesome to play the entire game with a twin h powered hudson.





    Oh well.....
