Color for conv. top
Hi I'm restoring a 1954 Hornet Convertible. The body is the Green/Gold and the interior is a Forest Green color. Can anyone guess what original color of top was??? When I bought it, somebody had stained the top to try and match the interior. I'm thinking either Tan or Black. Maybe Dave S or Bill A can try to answer this one. Thanks Gary

Information I have says that the top for 54 convertibles was available in maroon, black and tan. Hope that helps.0

BLACK OR TAN WILL WORK WITH THOSE COLORS, good luck bill albright0

Come on Bill, don't you think the maroon/green combo would be a great look around the holidays?0

Would this be the convertible that was owned by Joel Gray in Michigan? I agreed to buy the car at his asking price and when Nick & I were ready to leave to pick it up, he called and said his family wouldn't let him sell it. It seemed like a good resoration project.
(I would use a tan top from Bob Rosol if it was mine.)

Personally, I think the Tan would be the better choice. Of course, it all comes down to what YOU like..
