Hi Paul,
e-mail would be fine. What is happening is that my car is about to have some work done on the trunk floor. The gentleman doing the work has suggested that I close off the opening immediately behind the back seat thus isolating the trunk area and preventing any exhaust fumes from entering the passenger compartment. (An excellent idea that I had previously not given any thought) From the roughness of the surround of the opening there may have been something there originally and I am trying to establish what. Perhaps a steel wall.partial or full, or perhaps a tight fitting backing on the seat itself? This car has a trunk that protrudes from back with a humped lid as opposed the models with the flatter rear end.
Thanks,
john0
