Is there a special HET rate for the 2008 nationals at this hotel ? Wanted to book on line and wanted to know if there is a special # or something I need to add into the booking ? Thanks, Ron

    YES THERE IS A SPECAL RATE YOU HAVE TO TALK TO THE HOTEL ITSELF AND NOT THE NATIONAL CALL IN LINE I WANNA SAY IT WAS LIKE $89 A NIGHT AND THAT IS A GREAT PRICE

    Room rate at the Best Western in Marlborough, MA, for the 2008 National is $80 a night.

    The number to call is either: (508) 460-0700 or (888) 543-9500 - I used the 888 number and had very little trouble - other than being shuffled to about 3 people before I got where I wanted and made my reservations.

    Tell them, as is usual, you are with the Hudson Club (or Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club).

    Meet dates, as posted in the WTN, are 22-26 July, 2008. I booked to the 27th, which is Sunday as I had no desire to check out Saturday afternoon (26th).

    Eric Howe here in Paxton (close to Worcester) MA. Just curious - the Royal Plaza hotel given in one of the links above show a location outside of Fitchburg, MA (which is north of Worcester). Marlborough is east of Worcester. Trust me, there is a bit of a drive between Fitchburg and Marlborough (my guess is approximately 30-40 miles. I'd encourage people to find lodging close to Marlborough. I suggest Hudson, MA (isn't that nifty), which is just next to Marlborough. It is a fairly large town with easy access.

    In my previous post I should also have passed on the following info on room rates;

    $80 a night - 2 people

    $90 a night - 3 people

    $100 a night - 4 people

    Continental breakfast $6.95, full breakfast $9.95.

    431 rooms available

    1,600 parking spaces - so we are NOT gonna run out of room!!!!

    Truck, bus, trailer and motor home parkiing.
