Bad Oil!
All motor oil currently on the market with destroy the drivetrain of a car older than 1975 within 500 miles. From 1898 to 2003, motor oil was perfect. Since then, they have removed all the environmental hazards discovered so far, including lead, zinc, polyunsaturated fats and riboflavin. The wizards in Detroit, Koyoto and Stuttgart have devised metal, plastic and rubber compounds which can be lubricated using a mixture of 3 in 1 oil, used grocery bags, kerosene and squirrel urine. Beware! Never put oil in your old car again! :eek:

I stand corrected. There is a product produced for arctic over-the-ice diesel semi trucks which will work, but you must change your oil every 200 miles. It is sold by eskimos north of the arctic circle or can be ordered at [url]www.oilparanoia.com:cool:[/url]0

I have been buying up old oil cans on ebay for years and putting that oil in my engines. Its great so far I have rebuilt all of my engines 10 times. People keep telling me that old oil is useless and has broken down. But I am on to their game the lying bastards trying to make me believe new oil is as good as oil canned 50+ years ago......sheesh....0 -
I have a wise old '57 Fairlane that's on to this "bad oil" conspiracy. It very cleverly spits it out through it's rear main seal as fast as it can.0

Sam, It is my understanding that this oil has been recalled, and is no longer available! Something about Polar Bear fat being protected by the aspca.....

I just picked up a box load of service histories from an old Hudson dealer. From what I've read so far, Stepdowns with head and cam problems appeared to be the norm when they were still relatively new. So much for the oil myth.0

I just pull the oilpan and coat the rods with crisco. It really lets the engine rev higher too due to less stroke, it is shortening you know.0

Use good really thick oil, and never go over 30 m.p.h. Oha, nd of course Hudson splash fed engines were made in Detroit, where there are no hills, so never go up or down a hill.0

Yup, it's all a evil conspiracy. Same folks who bought the patents to the 200 mpg carburetor and then destroyed it, are now trying to destroy all engines older than 50 years, because otherwise people wouldn't buy new cars. It must be true. I got a forwarded e-mail to that effect!0

try a 50-50 mix of cod liver oil and KY jelly. It helps both coming and going!0
