Can you help to give a price to my father's car?
Hello everyone. Hello, first of all, and I'm sorry about my english. I'm from Madrid (Spain) and I'm new in this forum.
This is my story: my father has a car that owned from my grandfather. The car is a black 1947 Hudson Super Six.
It has been in an garaje for about 30 years and the aspect is not exactly good. The engine works fine, even is needed to make the first kilometers taking care, because the engine was changed just before be parked and it has only 4 km.
Now, one guy has contacted to my dad cos he's interested in the car. This morning he came to our house to check the car and he wants to buy it. But this is the one million dollar question: What's the price of the car? Whe don't have any idea about the price.
I'll be very happy if you help me.
If you need a picture of the car I'll ask to my father to take one and I'll put it here.
Thanks.
Manu

If I could clarify something: "The first few miles of taking care" likely means that the engine has been rebuilt and is still in it's break-in period. Beyond that , I can't contribute a thing. With some more details, I guess we on this board could come up with a range of prices for a '47 Super Six, but what does one add to adjust for it's rareness being located in europe? I know that we have plenty of members "down under". How represented are we in Europe?0

The nexy greatest number of Hudsons is in the UK I believe.... There are certainly none here in Romania haha......... recoj - posting a picture would help greatly. of course you would have to adjust the dollar value into euros. haha0

You're right. The engine was rebuilt and I must say it's in perfect condition.
I can't tell you exactly how my grandfather could buy this car. In fact, he died in 1975 and I was born in 1977. But I think the car was brought from usa and my gandfather bought it (that's the reason I've never seen another car like this here in Spain) because he was working in a Spanish car factory and he had many contacts involving cars world. But I'm not talking about "down under". I can confirm that.
I'll put some fhotos here to see it.

Of course I'll have to adjust. But I've just receive a call from my father and he's sure that the car is not from 1947, it's from 1936.
I'll know it when I put the pics here with your help, don't you?

Manu,
You are in luck! Here is another man in Spain with a 1947 Hudson! His name is Luis Pereda and he lives in La Coruña, Spain. Perhaps you can discover his telephone number and ask him the possible value of your automobile.
PS -- "Thanks!" to John King, from whose Hudson website I borrowed that photos and the information.0 -
