does anyone out there have a 1941 hudson half ton pickup that I can get to take two easy tape measure measurements for me? I need the lenght of the bed side rail most important, and also the wheelbase (different websites have conflicting info on this, don't think any are right). can anyone help?? I am kicking around turning my 1941 bigboy to a half ton.

The Cabs Are Different, On The Swb 116" The Fender Mounts Right Against The Door Hinge. The Lwb 128" You Have 5" Between The Hinge And The Back Of The Fender. In The Hudson Business Cars Brochure They List The Load Length As 83"on The Swb. I Do Have A '41 Swb If You Need Any Other Info.

The Difference Is In The Hood And The Lower Cowl Below The Body Seam At The Molding.0

back to what I said about conflicting wheelbase information on 1941 hudson pickups. some places say 128 ", some say 125" on the big boy truck.0

My '41 PU had 125 wheelbase whereas my 47 PU has 128.0

By the way, the bed itself was right at 3" shorter on my '41.0

I Have Never Seen A 125" Wb Reference In Any Of The '41 Literature.
The Literature Only Refers To The 116",121" And 128" Wb. The Big Boy Truck, Passenger Cars And The Commodoor Custom Sedan All Had 128" Wb Listed. The Big Boy Sedans Would Have Been Taxis, Funeral Cars, Etc. I Got This Info From A '41 Data Book That List All The Models And The '41 Business Cars Booklet. The 125" Truck Would Be Really Neat To See Next To What Hudson Clamed To Be A Standard Truck. Who Really Nows What They Did 66 Years Ago, Could Have Been Built For A Special Purpose. I See Alot Of Utilities Co. Have Special Trucks Made To There Spec.0 -
What Was The '40 Lwb Dimensions? I Wonder Is They May Have Used Some Of The '40 Chassis To Use Them Up In '410

1940 bigboys had 125" wheelbase's. I'll agree the factory 1941 brochure states 116" trucks, and 128" trucks. however, using up 125" 1940 frames is possible I guess, or someone might have used a 125" frame and cut the bed down for a repair also back then. who really knows. suppose accepted restoration would center on correct specs per factory specifications for that year. the 1941 beds I have been emailed on have a difference of 7 inches in length between bigboy and standard pickups. anyone got a 116" wheelbase frame or parts car I can buy??0
