I saw, on a NASCAR show this morning, that it was up around 105 - at about 8am or so, out in Fontana. The drivers are going to loose a few pounds running the race tonight.
Memphis is cooling down. Been between 90 and 95, instead lf the 100-105 we've been having.
Stay cool, daddy-o

Bill Albright lives out in Fontana (40-50 miles east) where it is hotter then where I am. It topped out a 97 yesterday and feels the same today. Fontana and parts east are about 5-10 degrees hotter.0

It was Felony Flats when I lived there, I guess things improved when I moved to Yucaipa, it's just Fontucky now. Steve, I'll be bringing my radio to you once I get the tranny fixed. Bill tells me you're the guy to see.

O.K. Harry, hope you get your trans straightened out , be looking for you.0
-
Steve;
it's almost finished, I'm waiting for the rear motor mounts I bought from Paul, they will probably be here on Tuesday. Fred found a rear bearing in the trans that was going bad, the planetary ring was broke and the pump was shot, as was the front clutch. A piece of the broken spring clip was floating around but luckily didn't break any vanes in the toris, the trans will be like brand new, the engine runs like a top now that the leaks in the intake are fixed. I'll need some tunes when I'm cruising so you'll see me as soon as I recover from the trans rebuild.

When You Are 71 And Have Poor Circulation And Your Hands Asre Cold All The Time, It Doesnt Bother Me Too Much. My Central Air Keeps House At 78 All The Time, Feels Like A Refridgerator After Being Outside. Some People Have Lost Power In Some Areas And Are Setting Outside In The Shade With All House Windows Open, Just A Small Percentage Less Than One Percent, According To Newcasts Supposed To Get In Low 90s Tomorrow, Bill Albright0

So, Bill is staying cool in more way than one and Tom is being mean and flaunting his mild climate.
Tom, you better hope you never have circulation problems like Bill. You'll be wearing gloves and a coat during summer. :eek:

70 here, circulation's pretty good. Agree with central air - came with this house I'm renting in Memphis. Agree with refrigerator.
Temps in Memphis have moderated into the 90's day, 80's night - and we finally are getting some rain. Not heavy, flooding type - but more of a slow drizzle, which is exactly what we need.
Tom, tell me what you think of WA when you get one of those freak snow storms and 10 below temps. LOL
Sure, Memphis is hot - but I don't have to put up with that 8 months of winter in Maine any more.

That's a healthier approach.0 -
We've had 32 days of temps of 110 or more here in Phoenix in the past year, breaking the record of 28 days previously. Last week had 5 straight days of 110 or more. In an average summer, we have about 10 days of 110 plus days.
Some local news show usually frys eggs on a sidewalk every year.0 -
