Did anyone attend this auction, and if so, did you happen to take any pics? I would love to get a hold of some of the interior shots. Thanks

Dennis, what kind of pix did you need??.Did you want some specifically of this car?
  • This car. In particular, some interior shots if anyone has them.

Kewl - wonder if they flogged it off the block as a Hudson "experimental" car with a V-8 engine.

Also wonder just how much it went for with a non-Hudson power plant under the hood.

Well,it is obvious nobody checked the description of this vehicle before auction, including the owner. This car was sold as an original car.In 2004-5,I put a fresh 56-308 w/twin-H,hydramatic,Dana 307 rear axle, brakes, did frt.suspension, fuel system and many other repairs to this car.The repairs/restorations were all done like they were factory-just not for this year.It also has wire wheels,Power steering,a beautiful dash and nice anniversary gold paint and a Davis restorations top. This car was a turn-key car,and I believe it still is!! It sure drew a big crowd of people before and after the auction.

If this is the same car that was at the Orlando meet. Another member pointed out some rust (hole) in the rear unibody frame in front of the left rear wheel well. I put four fingers in it.! I couldn't help but wonder how thin the rest of the structure was. The interior although beautiful had the cross hatch stiching pattern in the door inserts as used in 51, not the straight vertical pattern as original to the 48-49. I would not use this car as a guide to interior correctness. . It did have a 308 back then. Very nice car but, as the Clutch Guy pointed out... hardly original
