I know this topic has been debated here before, but I thought this list of the 50 worst cars of all times was interesting.
Enjoy.

This is always fun. Chevrolet Vega? 1994 Impala Wagon? Glad they passed on the Jet! :cool:0

04 Fraud Exploder, biggest piece of CRAP I've ever owned. V6 autro trans 2wd. Got 8 to9 mi per gallon, rode like it had BRICKS for springs, and felt like it was going to roll over every time I took a corner over 15 mph! Put up with it for 10 weeks and traded it in on an 05 GMC 1/2 ton. gets 17 to 24 mpg, rides decent, and handles great!0

I have a feeling that the author, LA Times columnist Dan Neil, probably never drove any of the cars that he deemed the 50 worst.
My worst was a used 78 Mercedes sedan - what a hunk of crap!0 -
Guy I worked with told me he'd give me a good deal on a Vega. I told him there wasn't any such thing.0

How much cash is offering for you to take it off of his hands? I'll take 25% of it and the car.
You get 75% just for setting up the deal.0 -

This would be a good deal if you had 300 cases of 50 weight motor oil in your garage you didn't know what to do with...:eek:0 -
One of the cars mentioned, a "1980 Imperial" never even existed!
Shows how much the "expert" knows! Many of the cars he panned are very significant, historically!
Expert, my butt.0 -
If you guys know of anyone giving away a Cosworth Vega with a 5speed, send him my way...0

You know, I guess I am kind of weird. I had a 59 Edsel and it ran like a scalded dog and was comfortable. Agreed it was not the most beautiful car but it was certainly not the ugliest either.
I also had a Gremlin. Admittedly it was not a 70 model, but it was a fun little car to drive, and the look grew on you after a while.
Then I had a Vega wagon and a Pinto wagon. The main problem with both was rust out. My Vega had the iron cylinder liners and gave me no engine problems. My Pinto had the 2300 cc 4 cylinder and even though I really abused it every day, it never gave me any trouble. ( I raced it at 411 dragway every Saturday night that it was open for 2 years until I trashed the rear end ) I would not mind having another one. Both got great gas mileage.

Bob,
Just like to know ; what kind of car didn't you like after all those beauties you owned?0 -
This guy hasn't even scratched the surface, as he has obviously never been to Britain and seen some of the abberations that came from that quarter! anything with a hyphenated name would qualify, as the Poms seemed to have a knack of taking the worst features of both names and putting them into the finished product. Some of them even morphed more than once - for instance, Wolseley-Siddely, Siddely-Deasey, and Armstrong-Siddely. And if anyone has ever encountered a Ford Pilot, or Ford Prefect - 'nuff said.0

Speaking of English cars what about the Reliant Robin...three wheels and looked like a toy. Looked like it should be wound up. Lots of weird cars in England. Some of the mid 60's Rovers were impossible to work on.0

Being a die hard Crosley owner, (and Hudson Jet!) I really got p..... when he knocked the 49' Hot Shot. "Minor hunk of junk" is what he said, crap!! They are great little cars! I emailed him and straightened him out on the Crosley. He said it had a dual overhead cam engine and the tin block would blow up! Well it is overhead cam, but 1 cam, and the tin blocks were replaced after 1948 with cast blocks. I read a bio on him, there was a picture of him, he looks like he just got out of high school! Probably hasn't even road in a "classic" car in his life!! Jezzzzzzzz.

Geoff, this is so funny, but so true.I learned early on that there was no reason to mess around with most British cars. They are always broke??because of design it seems, and there was absolutely no fixing them!! You can repair something, and something else will good out soon, and if it doesn't,your not running or driving it.Most make nice display pieces!!0 -

When I first got the Edsel,Gremlin,Vega and Pinto, they were acquired because no one else wanted them and they were CHEAP! The Edsel was given to me, and the others were all less than $300. The Edsel was sold for $500 and has since been restored. I wrecked the Gremlin (totaled) The Vega was turned into a drag racer, and The pinto was sold for scrap because it would have cost more to put in a new rear end than the car was worth.
Don't like Chrysler K cars, Dodge Rampage, Chevette, even so I can usually find something good to say about most cars.....It may be that I just like cars.

Why don't the British build computers?
1. Computers depend on reliable elctrical connections.
2. They can't get them to leak oil.0 -

Pretty much the same mechanical rules apply to British motorcycles as well. At least they have the looks and the soul that is missing from other motorcycles, so I have to give them that. But you better enjoy turning the wrench to own and actually ride one regularly.0 -
Mostly true, but Norton Commandos have been my every day bike for 30+ years and have not given me any major problems. A little fussy at times but not awful. The original wiring harness probably causes more headaches than anything else. The best of the British bikes and really sweet, although you know you're on a motorcycle. I bought a Buell Cyclone in January so now my Norton is not called upon for every day duty and is usually sulking jealously in the garage. I was told that the Buell would be almost as troublesome as a Norton and guess what, it isn't (although you still know you're on a motorcycle). Just my .02.0

Looking to replace our tired Ford Taurus this past summer, my husband and I went on a disappointing search. We were thinking a long the lines of a hatchback or small suv. Most of the body styles and quality just weren't impressing us. We thought the Dodge Caliber was a cute car, but there was not a whole lot of passenger room, everything was plastic, and there was significant road noise. Most the SUV's out there are mammoth and we want our vehicles to fit in the garage. We ended up taking a big leap, and bought a BMW X-5. It's not just a mode of transportation, but a driving experience. I don't think we can settle for American passenger cars after owning European.0

And when you're comparing a Beemer X-5, that may be a blessing. I love my '48 Coupe, but for long trips, think I'll stick with the Lincoln;)0
