I have a few 31 parts, but I am mostly into 32 and 330

Do you have specific questions? I"m sure some 1931 components were also used in other years, so possibly some '1930' and even some "1929" experts might help...0

Eric Howe here in central Mass. I own a 31 Super Six, and while I can't claim any degree of "expert" status, I've fairly well gone over mine for about 200 hours this past summer (doing all sort of major and minor restorative work). I am certainly willing to help, if I can, and I can also take specific photographs of anything that you might need.0

I am in need of the headlight stantions that bolt on the inner fender apron. I would be more than happy to pay for the privilage of borrowing a set to copy. I would also like to buy a better set of front fneders. Mike are restorable but better ones would be a quicker fix.
Thanks,

I am by no means an expert on '31 Hudsons but I do own a '31 LWB touring sedan that I am restoring. I do have some extra parts and can have all the manuals and specs if you need copies of anything. I can furnish pictures and have several friends with '31 Hudsons so may be able to rustle up spare parts.
What model do you have? sidemounts? short wheelbase or long? wire wheels? condition?
Good luck!

Del,
I have a 1931 Hudson boat tail roadster. It has wire wheels with side mounts. This car has been in our family since 1955. My father bought the car for the princely sum of $15.00. It needs a total frame off restoration which is being done as we speak in New York State.
I too have extra parts as well. I will have extra wire wheels to trade, engine and transmission parts. I also have a 1931 parts car that is mostly complete but the sheet metal is not all that good.
I really need the headlight stantions to either buy or copy. I would like a better pair of front fenders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an extra 1930-39 parts book if someone is interested. I also have a specific 1931 illustrated parts book that I would be glad to copy if someone would like it.
Thanks,

Brass guy, as noted earlier, Carl Weber of Massachusetts (long-time H-E-T member) is a very good guy to talk to about obtaining the older Hudson parts. And, he'll be selling parts at Hershey, so if you are going to be there you will want to touch base with him.
As to the boattail, you may know that Eldon Hostetler also owns a 1931 Hudson boattail speedster, and I think it's on display in the new Hudson museum in Shipshewana. That's in case you need a restored one to look at.0 -
Need front fenders and headlight stantions for a 1931 Hudson. I would pay to borrow headlight stantions to copy.

Two week ago, I found a gentleman who is selling his 1931 Hudson RS Coupe for $10,000. I can send pictures via e-mail if someone is interested. It is mostly orginal with a repaint. I do not know if it runs or not. It still has it's orginal hudson muffler and tail pipe. Straight 8 looks complete. He is planning on moving in the near future and if it is not sold he plans on hot rodding it. Rich Smithen (jonme2@wildblue.net)0

hey that looks an awful lot like my 31 essex, but like some one grabbed it by the nose and streched it.0

You would be better off putting an ad in the WTN instead of burying it in this thread. Alot more people will see it.0 -
