Edmunds Hudson 8 2x2 manifold
Here are pictures of my NOS Edmunds 2x2 intake manifold for a Hudson 8. I got this about 20 years ago when I started work on my '50C8. I had it mounted with both carbs but decided a couple of years ago to just get the thing running and have some fun before I started modifying anything. I wanted to find an Edmunds 8 head but those are as equally rare and I have never seen one in the flesh only pictures on ebay and some old product literature. One of these days I will get it mounted to see what it can do.

I have the 8 cylinder Edmonds head and the manifold. I never did anything with them but someday maybe I will. I would post a picture but don't know how.0

The late Kelly H had a Edmounds head and dual carb intake on his 38 long wheelbase Hudson sedan. Nice car... and as with all KH cars... ran super nice too.0

There are probably many of our older members who have this kind of stuff stashed away, and won't part with it- for which I don't blame them, because everybody wants to keep their hopes and dreams alive- but I have nightmares about when they pass, and their widow or dis-interested children go through the shop and just sort the stuff into bins for iron, aluminum, etc. to take to the recycling center. Probably less likely now, with the advent of ebay, and everybody trying to sell every imaginable thing there. . .
I'd sure like to get ahold of a 3 carb manifold for my customized '48 coupe, Glen. . .0 -
Several Calif. members have 1 or more of the Edmunds heads.
A member of the Railton Owners Club made a "run" of 8 cyl. high compression heads using the early 8s as models, using 2 heads. These are thicker than a standard head + finned & made of alum. like the Edmunds head. I'm not sure if he has any more or not.0 -
For those who might be interested in this line you might want to contact Ivan Zaremba as he has some of these components on his Railton which he races & would have some good advice for you on their application & performance.0
