Thanks for posting them Royer. You can always tell Tom's '50 Coupe by the "eyes". Just sorry we couldn't make it this year.0

Hi Matt, It was nice talking to you and your father (Lee) yesterday, perfect weather for meet with part of America's car history and great looking Hudson's. I finally met Al Saffrahn who I'll be calling for a couple parts last builder ruined. Walt's car always looks sharp, as does all the other well kept car's. Bill's new white 47 convertible looks better up close than pictures posted on FORUM last week; he informed me of great mileage his very nice grandson and him got driving to Laughlin. I was lucky and purchased some parts from Glenn (his chrome plating work is real professional) & Bill in Fontana that I require for future planned completion of my '52 Hornet coupe, going to start on upholstery interior next week. What I need now is a honest qualified body man and mechanical builder to go forward with my project; last one didn't work out. In my travels on Sahara I'll probably stop by your piano shop, funny as I was driving to Laughlin, I passed a Jet around Searchlight, NV. and I knew it had to be ROYER. Good luck on your new 1950 project car, and thanks for posting pictures.

It's kinda like a 2nd regional event, even better for me 'cause it's only 90 miles from my house.
There was a guy there with a 1919 Hudson that he drove from Lake Havasu City, Az (about 80 miles one way). He said he had it up to 88mph once - I bet that was a thrilling ride!
Another interesting Hudson was the '47 Super Six with front wheel drive!
I brought my Dad (Lee Royer) along. He had a great time, although I'm sure he was tired when we got home. He is recovering from the open heart surgery he had 2 weeks ago. This was the first Hudson meet he'd been to in over 20 years.0 -
Anybody have any results from the Economy Run.0

Rob Hudson is the owner of this neat '47. This is a front wheel drive Hudson, with a 3.1L Chevy engine and transaxle.0 -
Nice...some day I want to take a picture of my car under a palm tree. Not too many of them around here.0

I went home Saturday night, so I missed the results breakfast. Maybe some of the CA or AZ guys on here will post them.
One of the fun things about the Economy Run is the strong smell of gasoline from everyone's topped off tank!0 -

Matt, Great photos. We only made it as far as Baker so we did not get any Laughlin pctures. We would like to use some of your photos in our upcoming chapter newsletter, with your approval.
