Float in gas tank

Jim Kilday

Where can I get a float for my gas tank gauge? Seems to me I saw them advertised somewhere but creeping Alzheimer's has deleted that memory file? Does something from NAPA interchange?
Thanks.

This float is for a Ford but I think it fits Hudsons. Enter "Fuel Tank Sending Unit Float" in the Search Box at the top of the page. Then chick the "Search" button.

Some ford dealers carry them as a stock item0

You can find new fuel gauge floats, both in original style brass, or solid poly material (eliminates that sinking feeling) at Dennis Carpenter Ford Parts.
Order Desk Phone#1-800-476-9653
Can download a catalog at http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/store.php
#68-9275-F OEM Brass $10.00 ea.
#68-9275-S Solid Poly Material (a little smaller diameter than original, but can
easily recurve the arm to fit). $5.00 ea.
I have used both types on a couple cars now, and they both work well.0 -
Those part numbers indicate a part that was first used on 36 Fords, if that's any help.0
