So, you guys always come through, but I'm up against another one.

The grill on my '36 'plane looks like it's missing something at the crank hole. Just looks kinda unfinished. Should there be a cover? Anyone have a picture?

I suspect this is just another of a dozen little items I may never have, but I may be able to make something. Thanks, denverslim

Sounds like you're missing the crank hole cover like most of the rest of us. As Geoff says, it's made of unobtanium.

You could ask if anyone has one for sale, but you should get a piece of stainless and fashion one that clips on if you want one right away. Good luck.

    FYI

Regarding Crank Hole Covers, You will never find one but Joe Gleydura in Hubbard Oh @ 330 534 5610 makes a very nice replica cover for '37 Hudson & Terraplane. Not sure if '36 is same but may be real close or Joe could duplicate the '36. Incidently, Joe also makes real nice fender skirts too. Ive got both cover and skirts...
