Sometimes you just gotta do it... Kind of like a Hudson, I have never had to park beside another 1st Gen Charger at a show.

  • Here is an Aussie designed, built Charger. This is the most sought after Australian Charger. Most recent sold was well over $150,000 Aussie dollars at auction. It is a 1971 E49 Charger with an Australian design and built 265cu Hemi 6 cyl rated at 300hp. It featured 4spd and triple webber carbys. Quarter mile times was about 14sec flat of the showroom floor. The fuel tank holds 35 gallons (165litres) and the reason for this was for it's racing on the track at the time. Here is 2 pics for you Hudsonites.
  • Thats a beaut! It's a shame thisw wasn't built here in the USofA.
  • what an ugly car... sorry. I actually like the 1st gen charger better, and no offense, it isn't gonna win any beauty contests, either....

    Oh well, different strokes...
  • OUCH..... actually, I have three best of shows with it, and a peoples choice. I am usually in the running, at least the big boys have to account for it when it's there.
  • The Aussie Charger, was that a Chrysler built engine? Nothing like it here!
  • yeh it is not the best looking muscle car around but here is some better pics. Yes the engine is built by Chrysler Australia. It replaced the slant six here in Australia. 318, 340 and 360 v8's were also used in the Aussie Chargers but the hemi 265 six with triple webbers was more powerful than the v8's and lighter.
  • Looks kinds like a cross between a Barracuda, Javelin, and a Maverick.....I kinda, sorta, maybe, think I might like it.
