Okay, new guy, stupid questions ( )...it's a natural see. Now come on guys, you all had to ask questions once or you woodent know, know wood u? Okay, I have seen several 47 Hudsons and other than the rare V8 and the ohv 6 on ebay right now none have the 262 in them. My truck has a 262 power dome with the dist on the left side of the block (:p ). Has somebody replaced the engine? Is this a better engine? Has anyone put nitrus and a turbo on ( 0....well you get my drift, don't ya? Imagine, a 250 shot of NOS and a cork clutch, :):) hmmmmm;)

  • This is a 48-50 Super 6 motor. As you can see, it hooks right to the original trans. It is a superior set-up compared to the 212 the truck came with. If it was done right, it should have front springs from the stepdown to keep it from tipping down in the front. It's hard to keep it running cool in the heat with the original radiator. Best, Glen
  • Thanks Glen, thats great to know! I am interested in your frame (I will have to conjure up a way to get it here), but the price is right. I have no idea what Im doing here, but I have a good idea where I want to end up. Does the twin H intake fit the 262? I have several brand new in the box 300-6 motorcraft carbs. Is there an aluminum head for the 262? Would I even want to use it? What is a power dome? I nebber heard of a flat head hemi (:p :p ), well if you consider the 348-409....l
