Original Documents
My mother-in-law presented me with some more documentation she found for our 50 Pacemaker. Mostly old insurance records (proof of insurance cards) and registrations.
But I also got the owner's card, battery warranty, car warranty and the factory shippping document.
The factory paper is titled: Car shipping record and delivery receipt. Cool.
What are Options T, LL, X, QQ and R for the 50 Pacemaker? That is what is marked on the form.
I also learned that it arrived at Balsinger Motor Sales, Connersville, Indiana via J P Flemming of Cincinnati. We have no documentation of the transfer from Balsinger to Irwin (Hudson Dealer)of Madison, Indiana where it was purchased by my wife's grandparents.

Little Things like that are priceless!0

T= Overdrive
X= Weather Control
R= Bumper Guard, Front
Not sure about the other codes.
LL might be related to Drive-Master and QQ to a color option.0 -

The sale of the car from Flemming to Balsinger probably wouldn't have involved a title change as they were both dealers.0 -

Overdrive!!! The transmission does not look like it has an overdrive module. I'll double check tomorrow.
BTW, how would one tell from the driver's seat if it did have three on the tree and over drive?0 -

From my 1950 Owner ManualPage 19
(26) SUPER-MATIC DRIVE FOURTH SPEED CONTROL KNOB OR OVERDRIVE CONTROL KNOB - Push Knob all the way in for automatic operation of fourth speed on Super-Matuc Drive equipped cars or for Overdrive on cars having this equipment.
The manual illustration shows this knob is below the dash and left of the steering column.
Don't confuse this with the Super-Matic control panel located in the middle of the dash area on such-equiped cars.0 -
According to the Optional Equipment list in my General Information Book LL is for the cigar lighter, available on 500, 50A, 501 and 503 models. Still working QQ, but is, as posted, a possible color option.
There is a "QG" (Gray) listed in Car Distribution Department Bulletin DL 50.5, dtd 12-6-49, but no QQ.
